Mylar Bag FAQ

1. Sustainable Bag (Recyclable Bag)

Material: PE+PE
Note: These bags are recyclable as long as the material is single-component.

2. Biodegradable Bag

Material: Kraft paper + PLA, with degradable zippers
Degradation Conditions: Industrial composting for 30-50 days
Key Points:

The biodegradable zipper is made of corn starch and won't degrade under normal conditions, only under industrial composting.
Alternative material: PLA + Aluminum. This makes the bag 50% biodegradable, which complies with EU and US regulations.

3. Bag Surface Effects

Options: Glossy, Matte, Soft-Touch, and Laser
Structure:

First layer: Printing layer (determines surface effect)
Second layer: Aluminum coating (VMPET)
Third layer: PE layer
Laser Effect: To achieve a visible laser effect, the outer layer must be glossy. For partial laser effect with a matte finish, UV coating is required.

4. Digital Printing vs. Plate Printing

Digital Printing Quote: Total quantity price (e.g., 5 designs x 500 bags each = 2500 bags total)
Plate Printing Quote: If the size and process are the same, composite plates can be used.

5. Custom Bag Lead Time

Digital Bags: 7-10 days
Plate Printing Bags: 15 days

6. QR Code Printing

Requirement: A white layer must be printed under the QR code to ensure it is scannable.

7. Embossing Effect

Note: Embossing is not possible. However, slight raised effects can be achieved with UV coating, hot stamping, or thick ink.

8. Standard Bag Thickness

Default: 120 microns
Customization: Thicker bags can be made upon request, which will affect pricing.

9. Rounded Corners

Cost: Standard rounded corners do not incur a die-cut fee.

10. Plate Printing Mold Fee

Cost Basis: Charged per color. Typically, it does not exceed 6-8 colors, as determined by graphic design software.

11. Custom Bag Shape Fee

Standard Shapes: No shape mold fee for custom sizes. Non-standard Shapes: Shape mold fee applies.

12. Special Effects on Bags

Available Effects: UV, hot stamping, laser gold, and holographic
Effect Application:

UV: Best on matte bags
Hot Stamping: Suitable for both matte and glossy bags, with better results on matte
Holographic: Effective on both matte and glossy, with better results on glossy
